About Meg

Lifestyle Family Film Photographer
Woman in floral dress poses in garden with blooming white flowers.

You could say I'm just a little bit passionate about this whole motherhood thing! Depending on the day, you can find me with my film camera in hand, photographing beautiful families, or supporting mamas and babies as a maternal-child health dietitian.

When my first daughter was born, I picked up a film camera, and never looked back. Film photography forces us to slow down and be more observant and intentional. Its perfect colors, beautiful grain, and art-like quality provide something truly magical and nostalgic when photographing families.

My opinion is that family photos really can (and should) be fun. While sure I love the classic family portrait as much as the next mom, I also know that my favorite photos aren't the perfectly posed ones. They are the ones where I can feel my baby's snuggle, hear my toddler's infectious laugh, and remember what this season of life felt like.

This is why I love approaching sessions with little ones from what I like to call a "child led" approach. By allowing children space to play, warm up, and enjoy themselves with their favorite people (you!) the photos radiate a kind of authenticity that can't be forced. Photos that make you smile when you look at them, not because they are perfectly posed, but because they are true to you.
